Crucified X

$20.00 USD - $38.00 USD

The Stations of the Cross refers to the depiction of the final hours (or Passion) of Jesus on the day of his crucifixion. The purpose of the stations is to help believers make a spiritual pilgrimage of prayer to the chief scenes of Christ’s sufferings and death.

Visual depictions of the stations began as an attempt to recreate, or as a substitute for the original physical sites in Jerusalem. Commonly, a series of 11-14 images will be arranged in a numbered order along a path, and people will travel from image to image to reflect and pray.

Meditations upon the stations may be done at any time, but is most commonly done during the season of Lent, especially on Good Friday and on Friday evenings during Lent.
